Privacy Policy

PLACEHOLDER — this policy is draft copy and has not been reviewed. Last updated 4 September 2026.

1. What we collect

We collect the minimum required to run the service and to pay people. For customers that is an account email, a billing address, and usage totals. For node operators it is an email address, payout details, and the number of bytes your node delivered.

We do not collect visitor data on behalf of our customers beyond what is needed to route and bill a request. Visitor IP addresses are seen by the serving node in order to complete the connection and are discarded when the connection closes.

Request URLs appear in customer-facing logs in hashed form. The hash is salted per customer, so we cannot correlate the same URL across two customers.

2. What node operators can see

A node holds encrypted content chunks. An operator with full access to their own machine cannot decrypt them, cannot enumerate which customer they belong to, and cannot choose what their node stores.

An operator's machine does observe the IP addresses of visitors it serves, in the same way any web server does. The node software does not log them, and the operator has no interface that exposes them.

3. Analytics and cookies

This website sets no cookies and runs one analytics snippet that records page path, referrer host and a coarse country code. It sets no identifier and does not follow you between sites.

The theme toggle stores one value in localStorage — light or dark. That never leaves your browser.
